Description and Travel

Great Sturton is both a parish and a "scattered" village 6 miles northwest of Horncastle and 16 miles east of Lincoln. The River Bain forms the eastern boundary. Sotby parish is to the north and Baumber parish to the south. The parish covers almost 1,600 acres.
