CLAVERLEY, Shropshire

"CLAVERLEY, a parish in the hundred of Brimstree, in the county of Salop 10 miles S.W. of the Wolverhampton station, and 6 E. of Bridgnorth. It includes the townships of Aston, Beobridge, Broughton, Dalicott, Farmcott, Gatacre, Heathton, Hopstone, Ludstone, Shipley, Sutton, and Wendell. The living is a vicarage* in the diocese of Hereford, value £300, in the patronage of T. Whitmore, Esq., who is lord of the manor."
