See the parish website which tells us:
The Parish Church of Sarum St. Martin serves the south east quarter of the city of Salisbury - Milford, Petersfinger,
the Friary and Exeter Street. The church, however, pre-dates the modern city and its chancel is Salisbury's oldest
building. It may even date from Roman times, when Old Sarum was a fortified city, and this was a
"St. Martin's in the Fields."
For information about the city and other churches see our Salisbury page.
