This map of the whole of Wiltshire shows eight towns in Wiltshire, and three outside. Lines on the map are roads joining the places. Here is how to find the places by following the lines.
Cirencester is in Gloucestershire at the top, square A4 on the map. Follow the line S.E. to Cricklade, S to Swindon, Marlborough, and Salisbury.
Bath is in Somerset on the left of the map, square E1. Two lines leave it, The top one goes N of E to Chippenham, S of E to Marlborough and Hungerford, on the border with Berkshire. This is the road from Bath to London.
The other line from Bath goes S.E. It goes to Trowbridge, Warminster, and Salisbury.
Shaftesbury is in Dorset, bottom left corner of the map, square J3. Follow the line N of E to Salisbury, on S.E. out of Wiltshire into Hampshire and eventually towards London.
