WHAT'S NEW in WORCESTERSHIRE, 2009

I have created this page primarily to assist myself to keep track of changes I make to the Worcestershire pages on GENUKI. I hope however others may also find it of use. Please note that the links provided on this page will take you to the Worcestershire Town or Parish page containing the new information, and NOT directly to the information itself, so please be prepared to hunt around for the details!

• Memorial Inscriptions, and accompanying photographs of Birtsmorton (St Thomas, with SS Peter & Paul's Church), and Castlemorton (St Gregory's Church).

• Links to photographs of Broadway (St Eadburgha), Clifton on Teme (St Kenelm), Cotheridge (St Leonard), Great Malvern (Various), Great Witley (St Michael & All Angels), Hanley Castle (St Mary), Kempsey (St Mary), Ripple (St Mary), Severn Stoke (St Denys), Spetchley (All Saints), Strensham (St John the Baptist), Upton Warren (St Michael), Worcester (Various). NB whilst these links are new, the pages are not.

• Various items (MIs, Census, &c) relating to Eldersfield, and Pendock transferred from GENUKI/GLS.

• Added the list of names relating to the Worcester and Hereford Railway, 1852 which was waiting in the wings to be included.

• Various cosmetic changes to enable updates to these pages to be synchronised with those to other GENUKI counties I look after.
• Added the list of Inns, Taverns, &c. from Pigot's Directory of Worcestershire, 1830, which was waiting in the wings to be included.

• These pages were adopted by Rosemary Lockie on 16 Feb 2009 having been previously maintained by Peter Abbott.
