Scribbling mills and worsted mills are noticed in the Return from Eccleshill, and the increase of cotton weaving as well as that of woollen
  manufacture at Horton.

West Bretton is partly in Great Sandall, Parish Agbrigg Wapentake, Cumberworth includes that part of Skelmanthorpe which is in the Parish of High Hoyland.Cumberworth is partly in Kirk Burton Parish Agbrigg Wapentake Upper Division, and contains together 2,415 inhabitants.
