"BOLLAND, (or Bowland) a parish in the county of Lancashire."


"BORHOLME, a farm-house in the township of Bowland Forest, lower, and parish of Bolland, (Lanc.) liberty of Staincliffe; 8 miles NW. of Clitheroe. A bridge here, called Borholme Bridge, across the river Hodder, connects this county with Lancashire."
