"UPPER GRAVENHURST, a parish in the hundred of FLITT, county of BEDFORD, 3 miles (E, by N.) from Silsce, containing 291 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, in the archdeaconry of Bedford, and diocese of Lincoln, endowed with £200 royal bounty, andin the patronage of certain Trustees. The church is dedicated to St. Giles."
