"OXFORD ST. ALDATE, a parish in the city of Oxford containing places in the county of Berkshire."

"GRAMPOUND, (or Grand Pont) a tything in the parish of Oxford St. Aldate, hundred of Hormer, county Berks, 1½ mile from Oxford. The Crouched Friars had a house here in the reign of Edward I.
