1)will of anthony stroud the elder of baydon, yeoman, dated 25 december 1698
to my son anthony stroud all my 2 1/2 yardlands which i purchased of mr. powell and was formerly held upon the lives of my late father and my brother john's life and my own.
£10 annuity out of the estate to be piad to my wife katherine stroud
my wife to taken the profits to her own use until my son anthony is 24 years old.
to anthony my son my enclosures called shalgrove in baydon conaining about 6 acres
to my grandson thomas collins (at 21 years) £20
to my daughter jane all the tithes of corn and grain arising out of an enclosure in baydon being a yardland called gorelandes to him and his heirs forever.
to my daughter ann and her heirs forever all my close of pasture or meadow and one yard of arable land in baydon now in the occupation of benjamine handes and which he now rents of me.
to my 3 daughters katherine the wife of william kent of boreton in co berks, yeoman, martha the wife of mark collins of alborne yeoman, and mary the wife of roger garnham, gent, 12d each
the residue to katherine my wife who together with anthony my son are joint executors.
