will and inventory of john stiles
1) will of john stiles of wantage blacksmith, dated 18 january 1672
whereas i stand seised of certain messuages lands and tenements in wantage or elsewhere to me and my heirs forever
to my wife jane full power to sell my two tenements in which timothy carter and john blagrove now dwell also full power to sell 2 acres of land in wantage of which 1 acres was purchased of humphrey hyde of kingstone and 1 acre of richard aldworth shoemaker of wantage
the money from the sale (my debts paid) to be put to the use of my daughter until she be capable by law to give a discharge to my wife
the residue to mary my daughter and her heirs forever (execpting only the estate settled upon my wife at our marriage)
my wife to have my household goods for her life and then to mary stiles my daughter
the residue to my wife who is sole executrix
