"HASLINGTON, a chapelry in that part of the parish of BARTHOMLEY which is in the hundred of NANTWICH, county palatine of CHESTER, 3¼ miles (S. S. W.) from Sandbach, containing 985 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Chester, endowed with £200 private benefaction, £200 royal bounty, and £1100 parliamentary grant. Sir J.   • Haslington was a township in Barthomley ancient parish, Nantwich hundred (SJ 7456), which became a civil parish in 1866.
  • In 1936 it was extended 1936 to include the hamlet of Wheelock Heath from Wheelock.
  • It includes the hamlets of Bradeley Fields, Clayhanger, Clay Lanes (part), Far Heath, Kents Green, Oakhanger, Radway Green (part) and Winterley.
  • The population was 677 in 1801, 1153 in 1851, 1791 in 1901, 3223 in 1951, and 6781 in 2001.
