- Iddinshall was a township in St. Oswald's ancient parish, Broxton hundred (SJ 5362), which became a civil parish in 1866.
- The population was 18 in 1801, 22 in 1851, 21 in 1901, 6 in 1951, and 42 in 2001.
- In 2015 the civil parish was abolished and incorporated into Clotton Hoofield.
