  • Stanthorne was a township in Davenham ancient parish, Northwich hundred (SJ 6866), which became a civil parish in 1866.
  • It included the hamlet of The Wallange (part).
  • The population was 120 in 1801, 156 in 1851, 206 in 1901, 136 in 1951, and 136 in 2001.
  • In 2015 the civil parish was abolished and incorporated into Stanthorne & Wimboldsley.
