It was founded in 1611. It closed in 1861.

Church History

An ancient parish church, serving part of the city of Chester. 

On 11 July 1839 the district was amalgamated with that of Chester: St. Michael, to form the combined district of "St. Michael with St. Olave". In January 1973 this became part of a unified district for the city of Chester. 

St. Olave’s continued to be used as a place of worship until June 1972. The building still stands, but is currently disused.
