- Foulk Stapleford was a township in Tarvin ancient parish, Broxton hundred (SJ 4863), which became a civil parish in 1866.
- It included the hamlets of Brereton Park, Greenlooms (part) and Hargrave.
- The population was 212 in 1801, 236 in 1851, 204 in 1901, 153 in 1951, and 156 in 2001.
- In 2015 the civil parish was abolished and incorporated into Hargrave & Huxley.
