  • Lea was a township in Wybunbury ancient parish, Nantwich hundred (SJ 7148), which became a civil parish in 1866.
  • It includes the hamlet of Lea Forge.
  • The population was 73 in 1801, 58 in 1851, 70 in 1901, 47 in 1951, and 25 in 2001.
