STRETTON (near Malpas)

  • Stretton was a township in Tilston ancient parish, Broxton hundred (SJ 4452), which became a civil parish in 1866.
  • It includes the hamlet of Wetreins Green.
  • The population was 84 in 1801, 71 in 1851, 119 in 1901, 104 in 1951, and 51 in 2001.
