  • Willaston was a township in the ancient parishes of Wybunbury and Nantwich, Nantwich hundred (SJ 6948), which became a civil parish in 1866.
  • It includes the hamlet of Blakelow, Cheerbrook (part) and Moorfields (part).
  • The population was 209 in 1801, 349 in 1851, 2400 in 1901, 1882 in 1951, and 2973 in 2001.
