Assignment of Mortgage 40l 11s

Mssrs Chas BULL and Francis DIGHT

To

Mr Saml GUNDRY

This Indenture Tripartite made 20th Oct 1775 between Charles BULL of Axminster yeoman of the first part, Francis DIGHT of Axminster fellmonger of the second part and Samuel GUNDRY of Bridport Dorset maltster of the third part Whereas by an indenture tripartite bearing date 1st Jan 1772 between William VICARY of Colyton in the co of Devon maltster of the first part and Francis DIGHT of Axminster afsd fellmonger son and heir of Francis DIGHT of the same place thatcher decd of the second part and the said Charles BULL of the third part .......... that the said William VICARY .......... and the said Francis DIGHT .... did ratify and confirm unto the said Charles BULL all that messuage or dwellinghouse with the garden plot belonging thereafter converted to a fellmonger's yard, lying in the Back Lane of the parish of Axminster wherein Thomas TAYLOR formerly dwelt .......... to hold unto the said Charles BULL his executors administrators ..... for the residue of a term of five hundred years which commenced around 1st Jan 1741 under the yearly rent of a pepper corn and subject to a proviso or condition of redemption by Francis DIGHT of twenty five pounds and interest .... now this indenture witnesseth that the said Charles BULL for and in consideration of the sum of twenty nine pounds fifteen shillings to him in hand paid by the said Samuel GUNDRY ....... and the said Francis DIGHT for and in consideration of the sum of ten pounds sixteen shillings paid to him in hand by the said Samuel GUNDRY ....... to have and to hold ......... and whereas the said Francis DIGHT stand further indebted to the said Samuel GUNDRY in the sum of thirty nine pounds nine shillings principal money some by an indenture tripartite of assignment and mortgage bearing date herewith and between Mary LORING of Hawkchurch in the co of Dorset gentlewoman of the first part the said Francis DIGHT of the second part and Samuel GUNDRY of the third part being a mortgage of a certain leasehold messuage in the town of Axminster afsd and parcell of the manor of Trill Now this indenture further witnesseth that the said Francis DIGHT doth for himself and his heirs grant and agree to the said Samuel GUNDRY the said messuage for the sum of thirty nine pounds nine shillings ..... in witness whereof the said parties have interchangeably set their hands and seals
