In the Name of God Amen I John Wickey an Admiral of His Majesty's White Squadron now residing at Barnstaple in the County of Devon being of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding do make this my last Will and Testament revoking all others written by myself this thirtieth day of January in the Year of Our Lord 1821 ffirst I pray Almighty God most seriously solemnly and devoutly as a frail dependent being to pardon my manifold offences being truly penitent and repenting I give devise and bequeath to my dear Wife Charlotte Wickey all my goods chattels plate money in the ffunds Wages Prize money Bond or Bonds of Insurance on my life and all other effects whatsoever that I may be posses'd of at my death or due to me after paying my just debts and I do constitute and appoint my dear Wife my Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament In Witness hereof I have hereunto set my hand the day and year above written John Wickey Witnessed by Hannah Maria Harding Widow - Elizth Bellene(?) Widow - Elizabeth Adams Spinster
