This is the last Will and Testament of me Mary WINDEATT of Bridgetown in the Parish of Berry Pomeroy in the County of Devon Spinster made and published this First day of April One thousand eight hundred and Forty as follows (that is to say) First I will and direct that all my just Debts and Funeral Expenses shall be all fully paid and discharged by my Executrix hereinafter named Also I give and bequeath unto Richard John KING of Plymouth in the County of Devon Gentleman the sum of One hundred pounds of lawful money current in Great Britain Upon trust that he the said Richard John KING his Executors or Administrators shall and do lay out and invest the same in his or their name or names in or upon Government or other good Securities in England and pay the Dividends Interest and Annual produce thereof as received by him or them into the proper hands of my Niece Harriet the Wife of John COLLIER of Plymouth aforesaid Merchant to and for her own use and benefit separate and apart from the said John COLLIER her Husband and whose receipts notwithstanding her Coverture shall be a full and sufficient discharge and upon her decease Upon trust to pay the said sum of One hundred Pounds or the Stocks Funds or Securities in or upon which the same shall be invested unto such person or persons as my said Niece Harriet COLLIER notwithstanding her coverture shall by Deed or Will direct limit appoint give or bequeath the same and in default of such direction limitation appointment gift or bequest then Upon trust to divide the same equally unto and amongst all the Children of my said Niece Harriet COLLIER to whom I then give and bequeath the same to and for their own use and benefit which said Legacy of One hundred Pounds I will and direct shall be paid by the said Richard John KING at the expiration of three Calendar months next after my decease And Lastly all the rest residue and remainder of my Monies Securities for Money Goods Chattels Personal and Testamentary Estate and Effects whatsoever or wheresoever or of what nature or kind soever I do hereby give and bequeath unto my dear Niece Caroline WINDEATT to and for her own use and benefit And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint her my said Niece Caroline WINDEATT sole Executrix and residuary Legatee of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and making void all former or other Wills by me at any time heretofore made and declaring this to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said Mary WINDEATT the Testatrix have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and Seal to wit my hand to to the first Sheet and my hand and seal to this second and last Sheet thereof the day and year first before written
