In the Name of God Amen I Edward Shrapnell of Bideford in the County of Devon Lieutenant in the Royal Navy on half pay being weak in Body but of sound and disposing mind and memory do make my last Will and Testament as follows I give & bequeath unto Sarah Shrapnell my wife all such half pay and arrears thereof as shall or may be due at the time of my decease as Lieutenant in the Royal Navy & I also give and bequeath unto my said Wife Sarah Shrapnell all the rest and residue of my Goods Chattells & Personal Estate & Effects which I shall die possessed of and I appoint my said Wife Executrix of this my lsat Will and Testament and revoke all former Wills by me made In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Mark being unable through Infirmity to write my Name and Seal this third day of March in the Year of our Lord One thousand Eight and Six The mark of X Edward Shrapnell
