In the Name of God Amen I Thomas Kenney of Bideford in the County of Devon Merchant being of sound Memory Do make and ordain this to be my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me at any Time heretofore made and resigning myself to Almighty God whose I am and whom I serve ffirst I give and bequeath unto my Cousin Rachael Colley all that my Messuage or tenement commonly called or known by the name of Conisborough situate within the parish of Abbotsham in the said County of Devon which I bought of Mr Dyke and also all that my tenement and Plot of Land situate in the said Parish called the Little Arminary together the use of my dwelling house and Outhouses at Cornburrough and little Armillary aforesaid to have and to hold the same to her during her natural Life I also give and bequeath to my said Cousin Colley one Third of the Live Stock I shall have on my Estate or Estates in Possession at my Decease after Herriots Paid I also give and bequeath to my said Cousin Colley the use of my Household Goods at Cornburrough and also the use of the Third Part of all my ffarming Utensils And also the Third Part of all the Corn and Hay and Share that shall be in my Possession at the time of my Decease I also remit to my said Cousin Colley all the rent that shall be due to me for the House in Bideford Also I give and bequeath to my Niece Sarah the Daughter of Richard Hewish and now the Wife of John Hartnel Apothecary the Sum of two hundred pounds of lawful Money to be paid within one Year after my Decease Also I give and bequeath to my Sister Sarah Hewish the Sum of one hundred pounds of lawful Money and the Dwelling House and Garden with the Appurtenances situate in Tower Street in Bideford aforesaid wherein Mr Selman now dwells for and during her natural Life And the Interest of a Moiety of all my real and Personal Estate Also I give to my Cousin Mary Colley ten Guineas to put her in mourning Also I give to my Servant Mary Bowman ffifty pounds of lawful Money to be paid within three Months after my Decease with a decent Suit of Mourning Also I give to Gertrude Glover she living with me at my Decease a suit of Mourning and also four Guineas Also all the rest Residue and Remainder of all my Lands Tenements Goods Chattles and Effects of what kind Nature or Quality soever I give Devise and bequeath to my Cousin Thomas Hewish as they shall fall in hand To have and to hold the same and every part and parcell thereof unto him the said Thomas Hewish his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns for evermore And I do hereby nominate and appoint George Buck Esquire and the reverend Mr Lewis Buck to be executors in Trust to see this my Will duly performed in manner aforesaid and for payment of my just Debts and Legacies aforesaid I desire to be buried in a private Manner by my late Dear Wife in Abbotsham Church and to be carried under Hand by eight Men at a Time In Witness whereof I have hereto set my Hand and Seal this first day of June in the Year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and sixty eight /Thos Kenney/ Signed Sealed and Delivered Published and Declared by the said Thomas Kenney to be his last Will and Testament in Presence of us Thos Arscott ffrances Arscott Ann Gammon
