BUNDLEY, a parish in the hundred of NORTH TAWTON with WINKLEY,county of DEVON, 6¾ miles(S. S. W.) from Chulmleigh, containing 335 inhabitants.The living is a rectory, with that of Blackborough annexed,in the archdeaconry of Barnstaple, and dioceseof Exeter, rated in the king's hooks at £10. 17. 8½.,and in the patronage of the Hon. P. C. Wyndham,Esq. The church, dedicated to St. James, exhibitssome remains of Norman architecture, and has an ancient font.
