In the name of God Amen I Stephen Venton Yeoman of the parish of Bradford in the County of Devon being sick and weak in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory and understanding but considering the uncertainty of this transitory life do make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following towit First of all I give and bequeath my Soul into the hands of Almighty God that gave it and my body to be buried in a decent Christian manner according to the discretion of my Executor hereafter named and as [........] such [...........] estate goods and chattels wherewith it pleased God to bless me with in this life I give devise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form I give devise and bequeath unto my son Arscott Venton All my freehold estate called Bennetts Hole and Holemoors subject to a payment of ten pounds a year yearly and every year to my son Philip Venton Also I give unto my daughter Grace Venton the sum of Seventy Pounds upon trust home I shall hereafter name and to be paid her as soon as she shall survive to full age of twenty one years Also I give unto my Son Stephen Venton ten pounds a year to be paid by my Executor on trust as before named so long as the holding is on the both Barons[?] and when either live drop there after to have seven pound a year so long as my holding shall contain. Also I make my dearly beloved wife Arscott Philip and Grace Venton my three youngest children my hole and sole Executors as my last Will and Testament of all my goods chattels of whatsoever I am possest of unless what is before given and my Will is if that either my wife or children die before the children survive the age of Twenty one years that share to come between the rest if my wife marry again to be of term her Executorship and to have ten pounds a year. The within property I give unto Philip Venton and Matthew Arscott Upon trust and this I declare to be my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Will or Wills by me made In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this the first day of January One thousand eight and twenty seven.
