Arms of the Family of Manningford
Devon & Cornwall Notes & Queries 9:2, (1916) p. 54.
by
H.A.C. Cottell
Prepared by Michael Steer
The author, sometime vicar of Manningford Abbas (now Abbots) in Wiltshire, resided for some time on retirement in Braunton. There he noticed the arms of Manningford on a Bellew monument in the parish church. His query asks whether readers know anything of that branch of the Manningford family? Whether or not it still exists, and whether or not there are other representations of its arms in the county? Google with the Archive Organization has sponsored the digitisation of books from several libraries. The Internet Archive makes available, in its Community Texts Collection (originally known as Open Source Books), books that have been digitised by Google from a number of libraries. These are books on which copyright has expired, and are available free for educational and research use. The copy of this rare book is held in the Library of Arthur William Bryant Messenger, and is available from the Internet Archive.
