BURRINGTON, a parish in the hundred of NORTH TAWTON with WINKLEY, county of DEVON, 4 miles (N. W. by W.) from Chulmleigh, containing 939 inhabitants. The living is a vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Barnstaple, and diocese of Exeter, rated in the king's books at £13. 11. 3., and in the patronage of the Rev. J. Buckingham. The church is dedicated to the Holy Trinity.
