In the Name of God Amen I William Snell of East Ford in the Parish of Chawley in the County of Devon do make and ordain this to be and contain my last Will and Testament in manner following I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Mary Snell one clear yearly annuity or rent charge of ten pounds to be paid yearly and every year by quarterly payments out of my estate called East Ford in Chawley for and during her natural life provided she remains unmarried and in case of nonpayment of the said yearly annuity or rent charge of ten pounds quarterly as aforesaid I hereby authorize my said wife to ? for the same as often as the same shall become due or within ten days after I give and bequeath onto my son John Snell the sum of two hundred pounds to be paid out of my said estate and effects when he attains the age of twenty one years And as for my said estate called East Ford I give devise and bequeath the same unto my son William Snell to hold to him and his heirs and assigns ? subject nevertheless to the payment of the said annuity to my said wife and the said sum of two hundred pounds to my said son John in case my chattle property shall be insufficient And it is my will and desire that my said wife shall farm my said estate called East Ford until my said son William Snell attain the age of twenty one years and apply the profits thereof for herself and my children's support and maintenance All the rest residue and remainder of my Goods Chattels Credits Property and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever I give devise and bequeath the same unto my said wife Mary Snell and my said son William Snell whom I hereby nominate and appoint joint Executrix and Executor of this my Will And I do hereby nominate and appoint my said wife Mary Snell and my brother Robert Snell Trustees for my children during their minority they paying my just debts and funeral expenses In witness whereof I have I have hereunto set my hand and seal this eighteenth day of October one thousand eight hundred and fourteen.
