In the Name of God Amen this 30th day of October 1828, I Mary Hewish now wife of Andrew Hewish of the parish of Cheriton Fitzpaine in the county of Devon Yeoman late Mary Brewer, Spinster being sick and weak in Body but of sound and disposing Mind Memory and Understanding praise be God for the same do hereby in pursuance and exercise of the power and Authority given and reserved to me in and by the settlement made previous to my Marriage with the said Andrew Hewish and by force and virtue of all and every the power powers authority and authorities in me being enabling me there to make my last Will and Testament in manner following, that is to say I give devise and bequeath unto my Daughter Elizabeth Hewish the sum of Two hundred and eighty pounds to be paid her when she attains the Age of Twenty One Years. Also I give devise and Bequeath unto my Daughter Mary Ann Hewish the sum of Two hundred and eighty pounds to be paid her when she attains the Age of Twenty One Years and it is my further will that should either of my aforesaid Daughters die before the attainment of the Age of Twenty One Years the sum of Two hundred and eighty pounds which was to be given to shall devolve or be given to the survivor of them on the survivors attaining the Age of Twenty One Years. Also I give devise and bequeath unto my husband Andrew Hewish the Amount of Interest arising from both the aforesaid legacies until they become respectively payable to the aforementioned legatees my Daughters on their attainment of the Age of Twenty One Years. Also I give devise and Bequeath unto the sd Andrew Hewish my husband all the rest residue and remainder of my estate and Effects of what kind or nature soever which I have or shall have right to dispose of at the same time nominating constituting and appointing the said Andrew Hewish my husband whole and Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament he the sd Andrew Hewish my husband paying and discharging all my lawful debts and funeral expenses utterly disallowing and revoking all other wills and Bequests by me herebefore made ratifying and confirming this and no other as and for my last Will and Testament nominating ------tuting and appointing Mr John Hewish of Halls in the parish of Cheriton Fitzpaine Yeoman and Mr William Trude of the parish of Poughill Yeoman both in the county of Devon Trustees to the same. In Witness whereof I have herewith Set my hand and Seal this thirtieth day of October in the year of our Lord 1828
