Eleventh Report of the Committee on Church Plate - Deaneries of Cadbury and Kenn

Report and Transactions of the Devonshire Association for the Advancement of Science, Literature and the Arts. Vol 2, 4th Series

Plymouth: W Brendan & Son (1920). Paper read at Totnes, 21st July, pp. 80-121.

Prepared by Michael Steer

In its eleventh report, the Association's committee presented an account of the church plate in the Rural Deaneries of Cadbury and Kenn. The Rural Deanery of Cadbury comprises 23 parishes and stretches from the Taw and the edge of Dartmoor to the Exe. All its parishes are rural excepting the small town of Crediton. The Rural Deanery of Kenn consists of 26 parishes lying south west of Exeter, roughly comprising the district between the River Exe and the Teign. Many of these parishes were in the 1920's virtually inaccessible and secluded. The Internet Archive makes available, in its Community Texts Collection (originally known as Open Source Books), books that have been digitised by Google from a number of libraries. These are books on which copyright has expired, and are available free for educational and research use. This rare book was produced from a copy held by the Princeton University Library, and is available from the Internet Archive.
