Will of Reverend Freeman Freke, Clerk of Clannaborough

In the Name of God Amen I Freeman Freke of Clannaborough in the County of Devon Clerk do make this my last Will and Testament as follows first and principally I recommend my Soul to God who gave it to me in hopes of a glorious resurrection through the Merits of my Saviour and Redeemer to Life Everlasting And as for my Worldly Goods and Estates I dispose of them as follows ffirst I will that all my Debts be discharged Secondly I give to my dearly beloved Son Thomas ffreke Clerk the Sum of ffour hundred and fifty Pounds of lawful Money of Great Britain to be paid unto him at the Will and Pleasure of my Executrix hereinafter named also I give to my daughter Elizabeth Mortimer the Sum of Two hundred and ffifty Pounds to be paid unto her at the Will and Pleasure of my Executrix hereinafter named Also I give unto my Brothers Nicholas Thomas Freke of the Parish of Loddeswell in the County of Devon and ffrancis ffreke Gunston Esquire of the Parish of Hill Bishop in the County of Somerset a Leasehold Estate in the Parish of Beaford known by the name of Southdown In Trust for my said daughter Elizabeth Mortimer the Rent of which Estate to be paid into the hands of the said Trustees for her Sole and Separate use I also give to each of my apprentices a Bible in hopes that they will never forget their Creator And lastly I appoint my dearly beloved Wife Ursula ffreke my shole and Sole Executrix to this my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said ffreeman ffreke Clerk the Testator have hereunto set my hand and Seal this first day of May in the Year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and eight Freeman Freke Signed sealed published and declared by the said Freeman Freke in the presence of us _ Elizabeth Sivill _ William Dunn
