Abstract of the Will of Christopher Kingdom, Gentleman

KINGDOM, Christopher of Coldridge, gentleman.

Date of Will 5 Jan 1765

Proved at Barnstaple 27 September 1780.


To Mary, my wife, my best bed furnished throughout, my best house and best cow and household goods not exceeding £5.

To my grandson William Tucker, one guinea.

To my granddaughter Mary Tucker one guinea.

To my son Peter Kingdon one shilling.

To each of my son-in-law Roger Cremer's children.

To the poor of the Parish of Coldridge 20/- to be paid within one month after my death, that to the poor to be distributed at the discretion of the vicar, churchwardens & overseers & my executor.

All the rest of my goods and also my lands, tenements and hereditaments in possession reversion, remainder or expectancy I give unto my son Christopher Kingdom and I appoint him sole executor.
