In the name of God Amen, I Robert Cann of the parish of Colebrooke, County of Devon, Yeoman, being weak in body but of perfect mind and disposing mind memory and understanding I praised be God for the same do by this writing which I declare to be and my for last will and testament by me duly signed and sealed published and declare in the presence of the persons whose name are here under written as witnesses therein to. Give and bequeath dispose of direct limit and appoint all my Goods Chattles and Real and Personal Estate [wheresoever] and of what nature or kind secured which I have in my power to dispose of in manor and form following (that is to say). First I give and bequeath unto my son George Cann the sum of Fifteen Pounds of good and lawful money of Great Britain. Also I give and bequeath unto my son James Cann the sum of Five pounds of like lawful money. Also I give and bequeath unto my son Abraham Cann the sum of Five pounds of like lawful money. Also I give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary Edwards wife of Thomas Edwards the sum of one shilling. Also I give and bequeath unto my Granddaughter Mary Ann Bishop daughter of my daughter Mary Edwards the sum of Ten pounds of like lawful money. And I do order and direct that the aforesaid several legacies shall be paid by my Executors at the end of Eighteen months next after my decease. All the rest residue and remainder of al my Goods Chattles and Ready money monies at interest if any apparel and all the interest I have in covenant for my estate of what nature or kind soever now and hereafter after all my just debts legacies and funeral expenses are fully satisfied and paid. I give and bequeath unto my two sons namely Robert Cann and William Cann and I do hereby make ordain constitute and appoint my two said sons Robert Cann and William Cann joint and sole Executors of this my last will and Testament hereby revoking and making void all other and former wills and bequeaths heresogave by me and made ratifying and confirming this and this only to be my last will and testament. In witness hereunto I the said Robert Cann the Testator have this my last will and testament contained in this one shet of paper set my hand and seal this Twenty Ninth day of October One Thousand Eight Hundred and Twenty Six.

and in this one sheet of paper was duly signed and declared by the said Robert Cann, the Testator his Will and Testament in the presence of us who names as Witnesses thereunto in his presence and in the presence of each other:
