Devon to Wit. A Calendar of the prisoners in his Majestys high Gaol for the County of Devon at the General Quarter Sessions of the Peace at the Castle of Exon October 8th 1783.
Sarah Kane | Committed August 1st 1783 by R. Michell esq charged on oath of Susanna Varrant with Assaulting her. [comment] Discharged no prosecution. |
Edward Power | Committed August 27th by R. Michell esq charged on Oath of Richard Vivian on a violent suspicion of feloniously taking and carrying away from the Paving Ground of the said Richard Vivian one Iron Pegg such as is used by Paviours. [comment] Discharged no prosecution. |
[John] Cox | Committed Sept 29th by William Spicer esq charged on oaths of William Weeks and others on suspicion of entering the dwelling house of the said William Weeks & stealing thereout two Pounds twelve shillings & sixpence the property of the said William Weeks. [comment] Acquitted. |
