In the name of god Amen. The vjth daie of Marche In the yere of our lorde god a Thousande fyve hundrethe fourtie and Nyne And in the fourthe yere of the Reigne of o[u]r most Dread Soveraigne Lorde Edwarde the Sixt by the grace of god of Englande Fraunce and Ireland Kinge defender of the faithe and in earthe of the churche of England and of Irelande the supreme Hedd, I John Copleston of Copleston in the Countie of Devon Esquier beinge of hole mynde and p[er]fytte remembrannce thanks be to god make my testament and last will in manner and forme hereafter insuyng First I bequeathe my soule to god almightie and my body to holy buriall to be buried in the p[ar]yshe churche of Colbrocke in the said Countie of Devon in the northe ylde of the same churche Also I do give and bequeathe to the high store of the same churche towards the mayntenn[an]ce of the same Churche tenne shillings Also I do give and bequeathe to the vicary of the same churche to pray for me tenne shillings Also I do give and bequeathe to the store of the p[ar]yshe churche of Tandton[?] towards the mayntenn[an]ce of the same churche tenne shillings Also I do give and bequeathe to the vicary of the same churche to praye for me tenne shillings Also I do give and bequeathe to the high store of the p[ar]yshe Churche of Teyngrace towards the mayntenn[an]ce of the same churche tenne shillings Also I do give & bequeathe to the p[ar]sone of the same churche to praye for me tenne shillings Also I do give & bequeath to my Sonne in lawe John Beer one Oxe Also I do give and bequeathe to my daughter Anne his wife one Cowe Also I do give and bequeathe to S[i]r John Landton p[ar]sone of Nymett Rowland one geldinge or elles twentie shillings Also I do give and bequeathe by this my will unto Katheryn my wyfe during her lyfe all my Tynworks and all my p[ar]tes of Tynworks within the Countie of Devon According to the custome of the stannarye Also I do give and bequeathe to my sonne Richard Copleston All my Tynworks and parts of tynworks within the Countie of Cornewall during his lyf according to the custome of the stannarye there The residue of all my goodes and Cattalls as well moveable as not moveable not before disposed given nether by this my will bequeathed I do give & bequeathe to the said Katheryn my wyffe And by thes p[rese]nts I do constitute make and ordeyne The same Katheryn Copleston my wyfe my hole and sole Executrix to order and use all my goods & Cattalls as she shall think most expedient In wytnes wherof I the saide John Copleston to theis presents have put my seale and also have subscribed my name the daye and yere above wrytten Theis bering witnes Alexandre wood Esquier Andrewe Brygge John Brigge
