Will of Elizabeth Elworthy, Widow of Cullompton

This is the last Will and Testament of me Elizabeth Elworthy of Cullompton in the County of Devon Widow I give and bequeath unto Mary Blampin Widow of Cullompton aforesaid my Sister in Law the legacy or sum of Nineteen Pounds and nineteen shillings I also give and bequeath to each of the children of Robert Brookes of Cullompton aforesaid Labourer namely Robert Philip John Syms Arter Eliza and Jane the sum of Five Pounds each And I hereby direct that the said several legacies be duly paid by my Executor hereinafter mentioned Within three months next after my decease out of the monies that I may die possessed of in the Exeter Savings Bank or the Bank of Mr Sealey of Bridgwater or any other Bank I give unto the said Mary Blampin my dresser and Cupboard which usually stands in the kitchen of her dwellinghouse I also give unto Margaret Foster Wife of Joseph Foster of Cullompton aforesaid Druggist my set of china complete I also give unto Philip Brookes of Cullompton aforesaid Labourer (one of the aforesaid Legatees) my small bedstead with the bed and bolster together with all necessary bedding And I hereby give unto Arthur James Blampin of Cullompton aforesaid my nephew my silver watch All the rest residue and remainder of my property of whatsoever description I give unto John Syms Thomas Syms and Betty Luseton my nephews and niece to be equally divided between them the said John Syms Thomas Syms and Betty Luseton share and share alike subject to the payment of my just debts and funeral and testamentary expences And lastly I hereby appoint the said John Syms my said nephew Executor of this my Will hereby revoking all other Wills and Testamentary dispositions at any time heretofore made by me In witness whereof I have hereto set my hand this fifth day of October in the Year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and fifty four _ Elizabeth Elworthy
