DALWOOD, a chapelry in the parish of STOCKLAND, within the liberty of FORDINGTON, Dorchester division of the county of DORSET, though locally in the hundred of Axminster, county of Devon 3¾ miles W. N. W. of Axminster, containing 522 inhabitants. The chapel is dedicated to St. Peter. A fair is held on the Wednesday after August 24th.
