In the name of God Amen I Elizabeth Thickins of the Towne of Dartmouth in the Countye of Devon widdowe sicke in bodye but whole of mynde (I thank God) Doe make this my laste will and Testament in maner and forme following ffirste I bequeathe my sowle to Allmightie God my Creator and my bodye to the Earthe with assured hope to be saved by the deathe and passion of Christe Jesus and by his meryttes onely to have remission of my Synnes and joyfull resurrectyon Secondly I geve to the poore of Dartmouthe ffortye shillinge to be distrybuted by my Executrix where shee shall finde to be most need Item I geve to Margaret Notte and Joies her sister the daughters of my brother Thomas Michell Twentye shillinges a peece to be payde within sixe moneths after my decease and deathe Item I give to my sonne William Thickins ffyve poundes to be payd him or his assignes within sixe moneths after my decease and deathe Item I geve to Nicholas Jago and Richard Jago the sonnes of daughter Alice Jago Tenne poundes a peece to be payde within sixe moneths after my deathe All the rest of my goods not geven nor bequeathed I geve and bequeathe to Marya Thickins my daughter whom I make my whole and sole Executrix of this my last wyll & Testament Shee to dischardge my debtes legacies and ffuneralls And in wytnes hereof I have sette my hand Septimo Januariy One Thowsand Sixe Hundreth according to the computation of the Churche of England Elizabeh Thickins Signed in the presence of us Hen: Evans Nicholas Clifford
