In the Name of God Amen I Joseph Bulley of Dartmouth in the County of Devon Mercer being infirme of body but of sound mind and memory (thanks be to God therefore)hereby revokeing all former Wills by me made doe make and ordaine these presents to be and containe my last Will and Testament in manner following (that is to say) ffirst and Principally I commend my Soule into the hands of God who gave it And my body to the Earth to be buryed in Christian Buryall And as touching such worldy Estate as it hath pleased God to bless me with I dispose thereof as follows Imprimis I give and bequeath unto Thomas Pering of Dartmouth aforesaid Gent All my dwelling house with the appurtenances lying in Southtowne Dartmouth now in possession of Jane Jenkins and two Gardens with the appurtenances lying in Doctor Atkins lane in Dartmouth aforesaid And all other my lande of inheritance To have and to hold the same to the said Thomas Pering his heires and assignes for ever Upon the Trusts hereinafter mentioned Item I give and bequeath to the said Thomas Pering All my Leasehold Messuages tenements Gardens And all my goods & chattells & Personall and Testamentary whatsoever Upon Trust and Confidence nevertheless in him reposed and to the intent that he the said Thomas Pering his heires & Executors or Administrators or some of them do with what convenient speed he can after my decease by such waies as he shall think fitt make sale and dispose to any person or persons for the best prices to be gott for the same as well my said lands of inheritance above devised as also all my said leasehold Messuages tenements Gardens goods chattells and Personall Estate and apply the moneys thereby to be risen for and towards the payment of my debts in legall order And in case there be an over plus remaining after all my just debts are paid In trust that he pay over the same to my son Joseph Bulley and my daughter Eleanor Rockett equally to be divided betweene them to whome I give the same accordingly my said Trustee Thomas Pering his heires & Executors or Administrators & first paying and allowing him and themselves thereout all my reasonable disbursements and charges and for his and their labour and trouble in execution of the trust hereby created In witness whereof I have hereto sett my hand and seale this thirteenth day of May Anno Domini 1732 And I make the said Thomas Pering sole Executor of this my Will for the uses aforesaid the marke of Joseph Bulley signed sealed published and declared in presence of us who subscribed our names as witnesses hereto in presence and at the request of the said Testator Ro: Newman Jno Mauldey John Mauldey junr.
