Will of Sarah Prideaux, Wife of Dartmouth

This is the last Will and Testament or Testamentary Appointment of me Sarah Prideaux wife of Walter Prideaux late of Kingsbridge but now of Dartmouth in the County of Devon in the County of Devon Gentleman Whereas my late mother Elizabeth Were deceased did by her last Will and Testament bearing date on or about the twentieth day of June one thousand seven hundred and ninety nine give and bequeath to my brothers Robert Were William Were and Samuel Were (all since deceased) the sum of two thousand two hundred and twenty nine pounds Upon trust to pay the interest thereof to me for my life for my separate us and after my decease Upon trust to devise and pay the sum of two thousand two hundred and twenty nine pounds and the accruing interest thereof to and amongst all and every my child and children in such parts shares and proportions manner and form as I notwithstanding my coverture might by my last Will and Testament in writing direct give limit or appoint Now I do pursuant to and in execution of the power so given to me by my said Mother's Will and of every other power or authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf by this my last Will and Testament direct and appoint that after my decease the said principal sum of two thousand two hundred and twenty nine pounds and the investments thereof for the time being and all real and personal estate which has been or may be by any means substituted for the same or any part thereof or which may then be held Upon the same trusts as are by the said Will of my said late mother deceased declared concerning the said sum of two thousand two hundred and twenty nine pounds shall together with all the accruing and future interest dividends rents and profits thereof to be divided amongst my children Walter Were Prideaux George Prideaux Elizabeth Were Prideaux and Samuel Were Prideaux equally as tenants in common and their respective heirs executors administrators and assigns for their own absolute use and benefit And I appoint my said sons Walter Were Prideaux George Prideaux and Samuel Were Prideaux Executors of this my Will In witness whereof I have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand the twenty fifth day of April one thousand eight hundred and forty six S Prideaux
