Will of Walter Jago of Dartmouth

In the Name of God Amen I Walter Jago of Dartmouth in the County of Devon Esquire being sick in body but of a sound and disposing mind and memory and understanding Doe this ffive and twentieth day of December in the year of Our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred and thirty three make publish and declare my last Will and Testament in manner and fform following that is to say ffirst I will and direct that all my Debts and ffuneral Expences be paid and discharged Also I give devise and bequeath the moiety of the House in the lower street of Dartmouth lately held in Joynt tenancy or otherwise by my late Aunt Gibbes and me unto my Cosen John Hayne and his heirs for ever And I give and bequeath the Mortgage I have on a Messuage or Tenement in the fflesh Market of Dartmouth in Possession of one Allery unto Samuel the son of Benjamin Wheeler his heirs Executors and Administrators for ever Also I give and bequeath unto Margaret Barrable late of Plymouth in the said County the summe of ffifty pounds of lawfull money of Great Britaine I give and bequeath unto my said Kinsman Captain Roger Mathew the sume of twenty pounds Also I give and bequeath to Arthur the son of my Cousen Arthur Prideaux deceased the sume of ffifty pounds and to Nicholas Mary and Judith the other Children of my said Cousen Arthur Prideaux deceased to each of them the sume of twenty pounds Also I give and bequeath to my Cousen Walter Prideaux the sume of ffifty pounds and to his Children William Roger Rebecca Sarah and Dorothy to each the sume of twenty pounds Also I give and bequeath to my Cousens Harry and ffrances Hill John Charles and Mary Hayne Mary Sarah and Anne Holdsworth to each of them the sume of ten pounds Also I give and bequeath to Sarah the Daughter of my Uncle Samuel Jago deceased the sume of ffive hundred pounds of lawfull money of Great Britaine Also I give and bequeath to my Aunt Rebecca Pritchard the sume of One hundred pounds Also I give and bequeath unto the Poor of the Town of Dartmouth ten pounds Also I give and bequeath unto Walter son of William Jago of Helstone in the County of Cornwall and to Walter the son of Robert Jago of Helstone aforesaid and to John the son of John Jago and to Benjamin Wheeler before named and to Sarah the widow of my said Uncle Samuel Jago to each of them the sume of ten pounds Also I do give and bequeath unto the several Persons mentioned in a Schedule indorsed on this my Will and by me Subscribed the several sumes of money and particulars therein mentioned and I do hereby direct and order that each of my aforesaid Pecuniary Legacies as well those expressed in this my Will as in the Schedule endorsed shall be paid within twelve months after my decease Also I give devise and bequeath unto my said Cousen John Hill my Cousen Marcella Holdsworth and my Cousen George Prideaux All my Messuages Lands Tenements and Hereditaments at ffinsden and elsewhere in the Parish of Sherford and all that the Sheaf and great Tythes of the said Parish of Sherford and all that my Mannor of Kingston Vacy in the Parish of Brixham and all other my Lands Tenements and Hereditaments at Kingswear and all my Messuages Lands Tenements and Hereditaments at Widwell and elsewhere within the Parish of Stokenham And all my Messuages Lands Tenements within the Town or Borough of Dartmouth And all my Lands Tenements and Hereditaments in Bigbury and all other my Lands Tenements and Hereditaments whatsoever not hereinbefore given and devised with all their and every of their Rights members and Appurtenances To have and to hold to them the said John Hill Marcella Holdsworth and George Prideaux their heires and assignes for ever Subject and chargeable nevertheless to and with the Payment of all the Pecuniary Legacies herein or in the said Schedule expressed Also all the Rest and Residue of my Goods Chattells rights Credits Personall and Testamentary Estate whatsoever not herein before or by the Schedule indorsed given and bequeathed I do hereby give and bequeath unto my said Cousens John Hill Marcella Holdsworth and George Prideaux their Executors Administrators and assignsand I do here by constitute and appoint them the said John Hill Marcella Holdsworth and George Prideaux to be joynt Executors of this my last Will and Testament And Lastly I do hereby revoak and make voyd all former Wills and Testament by me made In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the day and year ffirst above written Walter Jago
