This is the last Will and Testament of me William Pearce of Dartmouth in the County of Devon Commander in the Royal Navy made the thirty first day of May in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty nine ffirst I will and direct that all my just debts ffuneral and testamentary expences be fully paid and discharged also I give and devise unto my sister Sophia Pearce of Dartmouth aforesaid Spinster and to her heirs and assigns all that my messuage tenement or dwelling house in which I now dwell with the garden behind the same and the appurtenances thereunto respectively belonging situate at South Town in Dartmouth aforesaid and which was purchased by me of the Executors of the late Sarah Gibbs Chartem deceased To hold the same hereditaments and premises with the appurtenances unto my said sister Sophia Pearce her heirs and assigns for ever also I give and bequeath unto my said sister Sophia Pearce the sum of one thousand three hundred pounds stock three per cent consolidated annuities Also I give and bequeath unto my said sister Sophia Pearce all my household goods and furniture plate linen and china also I give and bequeath to my Step Mother Ann Pearce of Dartmouth aforesaid Widow the sum of twenty five pounds stock three per cent consolidated annuities also I give and bequeath unto Esther Stokes Pearce of Dartmouth aforesaid the sum of two hundred pounds stock three per cent consolidated annuities Also I give and bequeath unto Edward Stokes Pearce Lieutenant in the Royal Navy the sum of fifty pounds stock three per cent consolidated annuities and I will and direct that the said several legacies hereinbefore given and bequeathed by this my will unto the said Sophia Pearce Ann Pearce Esther Stokes Pearce and Edward Stokes Pearce shall be paid or transferred to them respectively by my executor hereinafter named within six calendar months next after my decease all the Rest Residue and Remainder of my monies monies in the funds and securities for money testamentary and personal estate of what nature or kind soever not hereinbefore given or bequeathed by this my will I give and bequeath the same unto my Brother Robert Pearce of Dartmouth aforesaid Gentleman and I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said Brother Robert Pearce whole and sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former and other wills by me heretofore made and declare this only to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand the day and year first before written William Pearce
