Will of Richard Cleave, Mariner of Dawlish

This is the last Will and Testament of me Richard Cleave of the Parish of Dawlish in the County of Devon Mariner I give and bequeath unto my Niece Elizabeth Crowlay Wife of Daniel Crowlay of the Parish of Dawlish in the said county of Devon aforesaid Mariner the Sum of One hundred and twenty pounds sterling and to be retained by her where I have two hundred pounds deposited in the hands of Charles Hoare Esquire of Luscombe Castle of the Parish of Dawlish in the said county of Devon so long as she and the said Charles Hoare shall think proper And I also give unto my said Niece Elizabeth Crowlay all my silver Spoons of every kind and also to have the choice of two of my best beds & bedding and every thing thereunto belonging and also all the mahogany Chest of Drawers mahogany Dining and Round Table Tea chest Cupboard that is in the Parlour large ...ing Glass Also the Clock Also I give and bequeath unto my Nephew William Gilpin son of John and Jane Gilpin of the Parish of Ashcombe in the County of Devon two pounds sterling and all my wearing apparel and also Also I give and bequeath unto my Nephew Richard Gilpin son of John and Jane Gilpin of the Parish of Ashcombe in the County of Devon two pounds sterling And also I give and bequeath unto my Nephew Richard Gilpin son of John and Jane Gilpin of the Parish of Ashcombe in the County of Devon two pounds sterling And also I give and bequeath unto my Nephew James Gilpin son of John and Jane Gilpin of the Parish of Ashcombe in the County of Devon two pounds And also I give and bequeath unto my Niece Mary Gilpin Daughter of John and Jane Gilpin of the Parish of Ashcombe in the County of Devon the sum of two pounds sterling And also I give unto Richard Lawrence Cleave Crowlay Son of Daniel and Elizabeth Crowlay of the Parish of Dawlish in the County of Devon thy watch and all Appendages thereunto belonging And also I give and bequeath all the Rest and Residue of my Real Personal and Testamentary Estate and Effects whatsoever (subject to the payment of all my just debts and funeral expences) unto Jane Gilpin Wife of John Gilpin of the Parish of Ashcombe in the County of Devon ffarmer And I do make nominate and appoint the said Jane Gilip Executrix of this my last Will and Testament And lastly I do hereby revoke and disannul all former Will or Wills made by me and do ordain this my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have this day set my hand and seal the tenth day of ffebruary in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty one _Richard Cleave
