Davidson's paper, delivered at the Association's July 1880 Totnes meeting attempts to locate the ancient Manor of Datton Mill and Domesday Book references to the Manor of Donitone, with a site at Rockbeare and finally with land in the parish of Yarcombe, rather than with Dotton Mill near Otterton. Google with the Archive Organization has sponsored the digitisation of books from several libraries.
