Notes on the parish of East Budleigh
Trans. Devon. Assoc. vol. 22 (1890), map, illus. pp. 260-316.
by
T.N. Brushfield
Prepared by Michael Steer
This paper preceded the author's epic series on the life and career of Sir Walter Raleigh. It was delivered at the Association's 1890 Barnstaple meeting by Thomas Nadauld Brushfield, MD, FSA. (1828-1910). The author claims to have been inspired by Mr P O Hutchinson's four volumed History of Sidmouth and saw this paper as a local historian's contribution towards the larger History of Devonshire suggested by Hutchinson in his 1877 paper. Google with the Archive Organization has sponsored the digitisation of books from several libraries. The Internet Archive makes available, in its Community Texts Collection (originally known as Open Source Books), books that have been digitised by Google from a number of libraries. These are books on which copyright has expired, and are available free for educational and research use. This rare book was produced from a copy held by the University of Michigan Library, and is available from the Internet Archive.
