EAST STONEHOUSE

"EAST STONEHOUSE, a parish in the borough of Devonport, county Devon. The three towns of Stonehouse, Plymouth, and Devonport are connected by means of a bridge across Stonehouse creek, and form one extensive seaport and dockyard. See articles Devonport and Plymouth, of which Stonehouse may be considered a suburb. The living is a perpetual curacy* in the diocese of Exeter, value £197, in the patronage of the Vicar of St. Andrew's, Plymouth. There is also the district church of St. Paul's.
