Marriage of John Edye

Devon & Cornwall Notes & Queries 9:2, (1916) pp. 47-48.

by

A.J.P. Skinner

Prepared by Michael Steer

The celebrated Walrond family have been landowners in Devon since the reign of Henry III. Skinner's Note primarily records several 18th century Walrond marriages and provides excerpts from the Will of Henry Walrond Esq of Exeter. Walrond as a surname might be derived from the Norman given name 'Waleran'. Google with the Archive Organization has sponsored the digitisation of books from several libraries. The Internet Archive makes available, in its Community Texts Collection (originally known as Open Source Books), books that have been digitised by Google from a number of libraries. These are books on which copyright has expired, and are available free for educational and research use. The copy of this rare book is held at the Princeton University Library and is available from the Internet Archive.
