Will of John Bowring, Fuller of Saint Leonard

I John Bowring of the Parish of St Leonards in the County of Devon fuller make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say I give and bequeath at my death to my three Children Jane Cranch Betty Drewe and Ann Bowring Two hundred pounds each to be paid out of my ..... Goods charged at Prime Cost and if not sufficient Stock in hand for that purpose at the time of my decease the deficiency to be made up in money I also give to my said three Daughters all the fixtures in the ..... & Cheese Shops to be equally shared amongst them I also give and bequeath unto my Son John Bowring Two hundred pounds with all my Racks and Utensils belonging to the ffulling business I also give and bequeath to each of my Grandchildren that shall be living at the time of my decease ten pounds to be paid at the time my Wife thinks most proper all the Rest & Remainder of my Goods Chattels Moneys securities for Money and Effects of what nature or kind soever I give and bequeath unto my Wife Margaret Bowring during her natural life and after her death to be equally shared amongst my four Children should either of my Children die before their Mother leaving a Child or Children behind in that case the Child or Children so left to enjoy their parents share Lastly I do hereby constitute & appoint my said Wife whole and sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 30th day of September in the year of our Lord 1796 John Bowring
