In the Name of God Amen I William Moxey of the City of Exeter being in this present time in a good measure of Health and strength and the use of my reason and understanding Blessed be Almighty God for the same and having considered very seriously of the certainty of Death and the great uncertainty of its period induces me to commit to Writing as my last Will and Testament in order to prevent uneasiness or disagreement between my dear and Affectionate Wife and my son and Daughter should they survive me ffirst I give unto my son William Moxey ffive pounds to be paid to him by my Executrix herein after named six Months after my decease Item I give unto my Daughter Mary Moxey ffive pounds to be paid to her by my Executrix herein after named six Months after my decease Lastly I give unto my loving Wife Mary Moxey all the rest residue and all the Effects which the Almighty has blessed me with she paying all my just Debts and as to my ffuneral I leave it wholly to her Discretion In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this twenty fifth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty five Wm Moxey Witness Jno Eastlake Henry Eastlake
